1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Toolstile managed service at https://toolstile.com ("Toolstile", "the service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use Toolstile for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf, and "you" includes that organization. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded by contract, including consumer protection laws that apply to you.
2. The service
Toolstile lets you connect remote MCP servers once, authorize AI agents, and control which tools, resources and prompts each agent may use. Toolstile forwards permitted requests from your agents to those servers and returns their responses. Workspaces let you keep personal and team setups separate.
We may change, add or remove features as the service develops. If we remove a feature that is a material part of a paid plan you are subscribed to, we will tell you in advance where reasonably possible.
3. Your account
- Give accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You must have the legal capacity to accept these terms. Each account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in, recovery codes or agent credentials.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for the agents and devices you authorize. Revoke any device or agent you no longer trust.
- Keep your recovery codes safe. If you lose access to your sign-in method and every recovery option, we may be unable to restore your account.
- Tell us promptly at support@toolstile.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
If you sign in with Google or another provider, that provider's terms also apply to your use of it.
4. Workspaces and roles
Every account has a personal workspace. You can also create or join team workspaces.
- Owners manage billing, ownership and deletion of a team workspace. A team must always have at least one owner.
- Admins manage members, shared MCP entries and agent permissions.
- Members manage their own connections and agents, and can request to share accounts with the team.
If you join a team workspace, its owners and admins can see who is in the workspace, the names of your agents authorized there, and activity metadata for that workspace. They can revoke your agents' access to that workspace or remove you, and owners can change your role. When you leave or are removed, any accounts you shared and did not hand over stop being available to that team immediately.
If you create or administer a team workspace for an organization, you are responsible for who you add, the roles and permissions you assign, and your organization's use of the workspace.
5. Connecting MCP servers and running agents
Your connections. You may connect only MCP servers and accounts you are authorized to use, and you must comply with their terms. You are responsible for the credentials you give Toolstile and for any charges those services impose.
Your agents act for you. Toolstile is a gateway, not the agent and not the tool. AI agents can make mistakes, misread instructions or act unexpectedly. Within the permissions you or your workspace administrators grant, a tool call that Toolstile forwards can read, change or delete data, or trigger actions, in the connected service. You and the workspace that granted access are responsible for:
- which agents you authorize and what they are permitted to do
- the requests your agents send and the actions those requests cause
- reviewing tool results before relying on them
Grant only the access an agent needs. Where a connected service supports it, use its own confirmation or approval controls for consequential actions.
Third-party responses. Toolstile does not review, verify or endorse content returned by MCP servers. Connected servers are run by their own operators, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security or conduct.
Permission enforcement. Toolstile applies the grants, blocks and policies configured for each agent. If a selected account becomes unavailable, Toolstile stops the request instead of substituting a different account.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Toolstile to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights
- access systems, accounts or data you are not authorized to use
- distribute malware, or attack, overload or probe the service or any connected system without permission
- get around plan allowances, rate limits, permission checks or other technical limits, for example by creating accounts or workspaces to obtain extra free allowances or trials
We may limit, suspend or block traffic that threatens the service, other users or connected systems.
7. Plans, operations and billing
Plans and operations. Each workspace has a plan with a monthly allowance of operations. An operation is a request forwarded to an MCP server because of an agent or a user action, including discovery requests and requests that fail upstream. Gateway retries of the same request count once. Background maintenance that Toolstile performs on its own does not count. When a workspace reaches its allowance, Toolstile stops forwarding until the allowance resets or the workspace moves to a plan with more operations. Unused operations do not roll over. Current plans, prices, allowances and features are shown in the app before you subscribe. The terms shown when you subscribe apply to your subscription.
Free plan. Each account can use a free personal workspace and one free team workspace. Free allowances reset at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month. Additional team workspaces require a paid plan.
Paid plans. Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly in advance. They are available only when they are offered in the app. Paid allowances follow your subscription's billing period. Billing is per workspace, and only workspace owners can manage it.
Trial. Where a trial is offered, it lasts 7 days and includes the selected plan's features with a single 10,000-operation allowance for the whole trial. A payment method is required to start the trial. Before it starts, you will be asked to agree that the plan will be charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first. We provide a reminder to workspace owners about 48 hours before the charge. You remain responsible for cancelling before the deadline if you do not want to be charged. If you cancel during the trial, you keep the rest of the trial and are not charged. Reaching the trial allowance stops forwarding but never starts a charge. You may choose to start paying early. Each person and each workspace can have at most one trial.
Payments. Payments are handled by our billing providers, Autumn and Stripe, on their hosted pages. Prices are shown in US dollars. Taxes are added where they apply. You authorize us and our billing providers to charge your payment method for your subscription, including renewals and upgrade charges, until you cancel.
Upgrades and downgrades. An upgrade takes effect after the prorated price difference for the rest of the current period is paid. Your renewal date and the operations already used stay the same. A downgrade takes effect at the start of the next billing period. If the new plan does not support custom roles or permission policies you are using, the agent access that depends on them is paused until an admin converts it to supported settings.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in the app. Your paid plan continues until the end of the current paid period. After that, the workspace moves to the Free plan if it is eligible. Otherwise, forwarding pauses until a paid plan is restarted.
Failed payments. If the first payment for a subscription fails, the paid plan does not start. The workspace uses the Free plan if it is eligible; otherwise forwarding pauses. If a later renewal payment fails, you have 7 days from the start of that renewal period to fix it. During that time the normal allowance still applies. If payment is not resolved, forwarding stops until it is.
First-subscription refund. A workspace's first paid subscription can be refunded in full within 7 days after Toolstile first confirms its initial payment. The app shows the refund deadline. The workspace owner can request the refund in Billing or by emailing support@toolstile.com. A refund ends paid access when it is processed, and operations already used stay recorded. This refund is available once per workspace and does not apply to later subscriptions or renewals. Other refunds are given where the law requires or at our discretion.
Price changes. We will notify workspace owners in advance before a price change applies to an existing subscription. You can cancel before the new price takes effect.
8. Your content and data
You retain your existing rights in the content, configurations, credentials and data you provide or transmit through Toolstile. These terms do not transfer ownership of third-party content to you. You give us permission to host, store, process and transmit it only as needed to provide, secure and support the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the rights needed to send this data through the service.
Debug capture is optional and controlled by you or your workspace's owners and admins. Do not capture traffic that contains data you are not permitted to store with a service provider.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep Toolstile available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is not offered with a service-level agreement unless we agree to one in writing. We may perform maintenance, and after a restart clients may need to reconnect. Support is by email at support@toolstile.com.
10. Suspension, termination and deletion
You can stop using Toolstile and delete your account or an owned team workspace in the app at any time. Before deleting a paid workspace, including the personal workspace deleted with your account, Billing must confirm that its subscription will not renew and any pending billing changes must be resolved. Deletion does not itself cancel a subscription. If you are a team’s last owner, transfer ownership or delete the team before deleting your account. Deletion stops access immediately, and you can recover for 7 days. After that, data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to fix the problem first.
11. Our intellectual property and feedback
The service, including its software, design and brand, belongs to Toolstile and its licensors. These terms give you only the right to use the service as described here. Open-source components remain under their own licenses. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not make any promise that is not stated in these terms, including any implied promise of fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for the behavior of AI agents, or for MCP servers and third-party services, that we do not control.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Toolstile is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. This includes losses caused by actions your authorized agents take through connected services. This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you continue using the service after that, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and cancel any subscription before the change takes effect.
15. Contact and disputes
Contact Toolstile at support@toolstile.com. If you have a complaint, please write to us first and we will try to resolve it promptly. These terms do not require arbitration and do not waive your right to bring a claim before a court or authority that has jurisdiction.
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms, the Privacy Policy and any terms shown when you subscribe are the whole agreement between you and Toolstile about the service.
